Andy Baker
president
Andy started his racing career in the late 1980s across cyclocross, track, and road disciplines, earning six national masters track championships and multiple state championships along the way. He brings both deep experience and an approachable leadership style to the team. Known for his enthusiasm and willingness to compete in any discipline, he embodies the competitive spirit that defines Liquid Velo. Andy also likes goofy helmets and not taking himself too seriously.
Dylan Katz
Vice PResident
Dylan joined Liquid Velo in 2024. He enjoys riding anything with steep uphills, rocky downhills, or long dusty roads. A strong advocate for taking only silly things seriously, he's found a home in cyclocross and gravel. Dylan also makes occasional appearances in other disciplines, and will jump at any opportunity to spend time in nature with friends, teammates, and the broader cycling community.
Scott Burger
Secretary
Scott started racing at Seward Park in 2013 where he first met and joined the Liquid Velo team. Since then, he's done road races, time trials, cyclocross, and track races all while learning from the deep knowledge of the team. On the board since 2024, he's loved the camaraderie and hard work that defines Liquid Velo and is always up to tackle some steep hill climbs!
Isaiah West
Treasurer
A lifelong cycling fan, Isaiah started racing in 2021 and joined Liquid Velo in 2024, shortly after moving to Seattle. Though he primarily focuses on off-road disciplines, he is thoroughly enjoying track (the racing and community) and can now be found at JBMV during the summer months.
Tory Park
Board member
Tory started racing bikes in 2022 and joined Liquid Velo in 2025. She races primarily at the track but occasionally shows up to get her butt kicked by juniors in road or cross races. Tory is always looking for people willing to accept a lead out as a form of payment for bike maintenance.
Thomas Chung
Board member
Thomas hadn’t considered racing until he rode around Mercer Island in 2022 and attempted to hold the wheels of another Liquid Velo team member. After which the member asked if he was interested. Intrigued by the challenge, he took the chance and now enjoys racing road, gravel and MTB disciplines. Thomas enjoys challenges and getting his behind kicked as motivation. Being a smaller person he will take any form of shielding from the wind.
When Thomas is off the bike, he likes going to the gym, travel and skiing, or play with his two very mischievous cats.
Thomas Siffer
Board member
Thomas grew up on two wheels in France. His bike brought him around the world, connecting people and discovering the beauty of nature. He is adamant that bikes are a key solution to save our environment.
But on a race, forget all that, there is no energy saving. MTB, CX, and crits. As long as there is fast wheel in sight, he will fight (with a smile).
Laurel Safranek
Board member
Laurel found bike racing through the track in 2023 while feeling athletically lost after the conclusion of her college rowing career. She was drawn in by the welcoming community, exciting racing, and notable lack of hills. Laurel joined Liquid Velo in 2025. Although she most frequently races at the track, Laurel also enjoys venturing into gravel, road, and cross races.
David Meyer
Board member
David started cycling during the pandemic with long gran fondos, discovered racing, and joined Liquid Velo in 2024. He primarily races road but can also be found in gravel and cyclecross. David loves hill climbing and gravitates toward long events where finishing can be a real question.
